More than
a barbershop

Refugio was born from a simple idea: a place where a great haircut comes with good conversation, respect and time for you.

Behind
Refugio

Hi, I’m Kelvin, founder of Refugio Barber Studio, with more than 20 years of experience in the barbering industry. My work is defined by personal attention, care for the details, responsibility and communication with every client.

Refugio is the result of years of experience, learning and many conversations in the chair. I wanted to create a place where everyone feels welcome, heard and cared for, with no rush and full attention to detail.

My approach goes beyond technique: it’s about understanding your style, your routine and what makes you feel good, so every visit is a complete experience.

Good cuts.
Better days.

Refugio is much more than a place to get a haircut. It was born from seeing that many clients were looking for a place where they could feel heard, safe and relaxed — the same kind of place Kelvin had to build for himself when he arrived alone in this country.

Refugio was created as a place to step away from the routine, refresh your look and enjoy a moment for yourself. We want every client to walk in with confidence, know their opinion will be heard, and receive recommendations made for their style, personality and needs.

Today, with Nilmary and their children by his side, Kelvin is building the next chapter of Refugio — bringing the same care for detail he learned from his aunt Milagro in that backyard in Puerto Rico to every client who sits in his chair.
